08 Sep City Band Meets $25,000 Challenge…and Then Some!
Earlier this summer, anonymous donors offered to match contributions to the Capital Campaign fund for the Friends of the City Band, up to $25,000, through Labor Day. The money raised goes toward band equipment and the development of Normal Park. The band is pleased to announce that $30,020.46 was contributed. Challenge met! Wait. Challenge exceeded!!
Though there is still more to be raised in the campaign, the band would like to thank all who donated recently to meet the $25K challenge. The band’s goal is to raise the entire $506,561 before the city band season begins next year. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the fund can do so in several ways.
